A Little Leather, a Little Imagination, and a Whole Lot of Heart

Welcome to AT OM CREATIONS.

Where every purse begins with a piece of leather, a little inspiration, and the joy of creating something beautiful. All the decorated boxes start out plain and get decorated to using pictures, paints, jewels, flowers, leaves and other findings that will make it one of a kind for you.

I've been an artist and craftsperson for most of my life. Over the years, I've explored everything from sewing and weaving to beadwork and leathercraft. But there's something particularly satisfying about taking a beautiful piece of leather and transforming it into a purse that has its own personality.

I especially love working with soft, supple deerskin, combining its natural beauty with hand-laced details, beads, fringe, and carefully chosen embellishments.

I don't believe every purse needs to look like the one beside it. In fact, I prefer that they don't!

Some of my creations are simple and elegant. Others are playful, colorful, or a little adventurous. Each one reflects whatever happened to inspire me when I sat down at my worktable.

Made by Hand, One at a Time

My purses aren't made on an assembly line. They're individually crafted, with attention to the little details that make handmade work special.

From selecting the leather and designing the shape to lacing the pieces together and adding the finishing touches, I enjoy being involved in every step.

Sometimes the leather itself suggests a design. Other times, a beautiful bead, a piece of fringe, or an unusual ornament starts the whole creative process.

That's part of the fun. I don't always know exactly how a purse will turn out until it's finished.

I've included a glimpse of my work in progress so you can see some of the handwork that goes into creating a Howling Wolf Leather purse.

It's a process that takes patience, a good eye, and occasionally a willingness to change direction when inspiration strikes!
